Hello friends!
We are excited to announce that God is once again, sending a team from New Community Church back to the Dominican Republic. I must say that He has hand-selected a fantastic crew of 19 servants to go this year...a combination of experienced mission trip takers and a couple of fresh faces as well. Our trip is scheduled for November 10-17, 2012 and we couldn't be more thrilled.
The people going on this trip are: Phil Baker, Ashley and Michelle Burk, Tammy Bush, Michelle Duffy, Lee and Ronda Echenrode, Danielle Giuliano, Aaron Grosjean, Kent and Virginia Madden, Tre Moore, Kyle Stalter, Todd Stockdale, Barbara Vogt, Rena Weeks, Jenny Wilson, Sophie Wood, and Zachary Zalewski.
We ask that you please keep each member of our team in prayer as we prepare our hearts and minds (and carry-on bags!) for this trip. We have been busy the last few months raising funds for our trip. God has been ahead of us the entire way and has provided for several of us in remarkable ways. If you feel led to give towards our trip, please do so! The blessings are tri-fold...It will bless the team, it will bless the people of the Dominican Republic, AND it will bless you as well. Win-win-win for all!
Watch for upcoming fundraisers for our trip. We are planning a yardsale, a bakesale or two, a Chick-Fil-A Night, a Silpada Jewelry show, and our own Virginia Madden has a terrific photography session package available with 100% of the money going directly to the mission team.
These are exciting times! We are so glad to share in this journey with you and eager to be the hands and feet of Christ in the Dominican Republic.
